Has his feelings changed for me?

I know this guy with whom I work with. I work part time & mostly evenings so I don't see him that much, but when I do we always say good bye with a hug. He sometimes will also kiss me on the forehead, cheeks and sometimes on the neck. I really like him so sometimes I would ask him out, even on my birthday, but he always had an excuse not to go. About five months ago he tried to go a bit further with me, and I stopped him asking him what his intentions were and he was honest with me, telling me that he only saw me as a friend. We continued to be good friends after that still, our friendship hadn't changed & we would still hug each other good bye. He slowly began to change. I mean: just two months ago, we actually went out to dinner, and talk about going out again, but we are both very busy so it's hard to plan things together. He walks with me to the coffee shop sometimes when we do work together, which he never used to before. And the last few times that we've seen each other, he pecked me on the lips after a big hug. Even the way he talks to me is sweeter now. Are these changes a good sign? Please help. I am confused.
