Am I over reacting here?

My partner and I have been having sometime apart he has been staying at his mothers for the past week I am pregnant, volatile and my hormones are hell. He is still coming over in the evenings to see our daughter and me, we are trying to work things out and get our relationship back on track. Yesterday I come down with a huge head ache & felt very ill along with dealing with a teething 17 month old all day. I phoned him seeing if he would be able to help with our child and he told me he would come after his dinner at his mothers house it's not like he was already there when I phoned he was on his way back from work!! I mean wouldn't any decent man come right away? Maybe I am just being silly but he has always been a bit of a mummys boy and would rather let me and his daughter down rather than her just because shes cooked dinner for him.
